Clean, simple URLs
The default for your site's URL will be: http://works.bepress.com/ firstname_lastname. You may also customize the default address during setup to change "firstname_lastname" to something else.
Automatic Document Collection
SelectedWorks scans the thousands of documents in the bepress system to locate papers by you, and lets you add them to your SelectedWorks site automatically. If your coauthors have SelectedWorks sites, your co-authored documents will appear in both sites - without duplicated effort.
"WYSIWYG" Editing Tools
Edit your site using the WYSIWYG ("What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get") editor, which displays your site as it will appear to readers, while allowing you to edit information in context.

Simple Document Upload Forms

Full-Text Posting Options
Depending on copyright permissions, you may post the full text directly on the site, link to it on another website, or just cite it.
Automatic PDF Conversion
Papers uploaded as Word, RTF or WordPerfect documents are automatically converted to PDF before being posted to the site.
Automatic Citation Formatting
The system automatically creates a formatted citation for each document. Citations may be customized in seconds.
Personalized Mailing Lists
Interested scholars can join your email list via your SelectedWorks page. Simple tools let you view subscribers, add subscribers (individually or en masse), and announce new papers in seconds. SelectedWorks automatically removes duplicates from your subscriber list and will not let you subscribe previously unsubscribed email addresses.
Setup Accounts for Assistants
Designate multiple people as editors of your site, so you may delegate content management as necessary.
Reports to Monitor Readership
Find out how many people are reading your content through your SelectedWorks reports page. Download counts are updated nightly.
Search Tools
Simple and advanced search functions allow readers to search your site just about anyway they choose, including by author, title, keywords, subject category, abstract, or full text.
The Power of Syndication
Thousands of people have signed up to receive personalized subject matter alerts of bepress content through ResearchNow. Your content will be automatically included in this system and will benefit from being part of bepress' aggregation and syndication services (RSS), and institutional and subject matter repositories.

Full Content Indexed in Google
