Laval University, Quebec City, Quebec
Abstract
Laval University traces its history back to 1663 when Le Seminaire de Quebec was founded by Monsignor François de Montmorency Laval the first Bishop of New France. In 1852, Laval University was granted a charater signed in London by Queen Victoria. The Department of Mining & Metallurgy was founded in 1938.
