The 'Guiding Hand' Model as a Technique of Regulation
Abstract
The essay examines some types of regulation in the UK and EU experiences based on cooperation between public and private bodies. These models contrast the competitive ones which are expected to be encouraged by UK and EU by virtue of the liberal approach to the economic relations they undertake. At the end the author tries to outline a theory of the Guiding Hand Model contrasting the well-known one of the Invisible Hand Model.
