About Errol D. Jones

Dr. Errol D. Jones earned his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Utah, and then a Ph.D. in Latin American history from Texas Christian University in 1971. He taught at universities in Texas, Utah, Mexico, and Brazil, before joining the faculty of the Department of History at Boise State University in 1982, where he has served as professor, department chair, and internship coordinator. His research interests have included modern Mexico and Brazil, the history of electrical power in Mexico, and the history of Hispanics in Idaho. His edited book "Latin American Military History: an Annotated Bibliography" (with David LaFrance), was chosen by the American Library Association as one of the best annotated bibliographies of 1993. Since retiring, Dr. Jones continues to work with graduate students interested in the history of Latinos in the United States and in Idaho.
