Abstract
Lake Michigan has world-class offshore wind resources, but it is unclear if offshore wind energy development is appropriate and acceptable in Michigan. The West Michigan Wind Assessment used the Delphi Inquiry approach to determine under what conditions, if any, offshore wind energy development could be acceptable. Participants agreed that it could be acceptable under certain circumstances, such as if property values, tourism, and scenic vistas were not significantly harmed.
