Disclosure of Climate Change Risk under Financial Regulatory Schemes
Abstract
Though the debate continues over the climate, many nations and regulatory bodies have enacted policies to address climate change. Such action has not been limited to environmental regulatory agencies, but has also included financial regulators. This article briefly examines the regulatory activity of the international community, policy initiatives of select nations and the implications for companies operating under the diverse, and sometimes competing, regulatory infrastructures.
