About Emily Vernet, MS

I am a recent graduate of the University of South Florida with a Masters degree in Medical Sciences. I previously graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science Pre-Clinical. Throughout my academic career I has developed a passion for research, mentorship, and service. My past research projects focused on the relationship between college health and academics, shared decision-making between physicians and parents of children with mental health disorders, and women health in the workplace.

I have a promising future as a leader in the medical community. My interests include medical sociology, racial and ethnic disparities in health, college health, mental health, women health and educational-related health outcomes. My future aspirations include becoming an advocate for women health and working against health disparities in underserved communities.
