Associate Professor Spencer has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 1996. She
practiced law in Dallas and served on the staff of Southern Methodist University before
moving to The Hague where Liz served as an editor for Kluwer Law International and for
the ICCA. 

Since joining Bond in 2001, Associate Professor Spencer has lectured in Business Law,
Business Associations, the Law of Commercial Entities, Introduction to Cross Border
Transactions, Contemporary Issues in Law and Society and Franchising Law. 

In 2008 Elizabeth completed a doctorate on the topic of the regulation of the franchise
sector in Australia. She is currently undertaking research into the roles of trade
associations in the regulation of the franchise.
