After earning both a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Elaine Watson joined the faculty of Albertsons Library at Boise State University in 1999. In addition to providing individual reference consultations with faculty and students, Elaine has worked to find innovative ways to incorporate new technologies into reference and instruction service, including providing assistance through QuestionPoint Chat Reference, Email Reference and Text Reference. She and her colleagues recently created a QR Code Research Race game that was used to introduce new students to library resources. She serves as a subject specialist and liaison to the departments of Art/Architecture, Canadian Studies, International Business, and Management. In addition to her work on campus, Elaine is active in the Idaho Library Association, the Pacific Northwest Library Association, and the American Library Association.
