My name is Edwin Acheampong, a public servant in Ghana. I have worked within the public sector of Ghana for nearly six(6) years as a Revenue Officer with the Value Added Tax Service of Ghana. I recently obtained my Master of Science (MSc.) degree with distinction from the University of Bolton. My research was in the area of Knowledge Management(KM). I explored the readiness of the Ghanaian Public Sector to practice KM. With barely two months to start my PhD programme, I intend to develop a KM practice for the Public Sector of Ghana. Straddling the UK and Ghana,my postgraduate research research will involve the adaptation and transfer KM strategies and practices from the former to the latter. By the end of the three-year PhD programme, I hope to have mooted a Knowledge Management Policy for the Ghanaian Public Sector.
