Abstract
Jacques Benigne Bossuet, was the Bishop of Meaux, and tutor to the Dauphin. He was renowned as a preacher and controversialist. He was a member of Vincent de Paul's "Tuesday Conferences." This sermon reflects a Tridentine theological viewpoint with respect to the place of the poor in salvation history.Suggested Citation
