Abstract

This is the only reference I can locate on this BBC innovation, introducing a 4 c/s offset to stop feedback in complex rooms in Public Address systems. This technique - and the device - was created by E.R. Wigan and subsequently very widely used from then on.. yet no one could quite pin down when and from where it originated. Finally, this is the source, located in the papers of E R Wigan
