A native of Costa Rica, Edgar Odio's own research interests are in the area of
antitrust law, banking law and law and economics. After receiving a law degree at the
Universidad de Costa Rica, he went on to obtain a master's degree in law at Essex
University in England. He lectures in antitust law at the Universidad de Costa Rica and
the Universidad de la Salle.
