Duncan Bentley is an international taxation law specialist and speaks regularly at international seminars and conferences. He has numerous publications and has research interests in taxpayers' rights, international taxation and legal education. He has received two Australian Research Council small grants and was joint winner, with Patrick Quirk, of the prestigious 1998 Banking Law Association Research Prize. He was the winner of the 1997 Butterworths Stanley Shaw Bond Prize for teaching excellence in the Faculty of Law. Duncan previously practised in the taxation consulting divisions of two of the world's largest chartered accounting firms, in London and Sydney, and continues to consult in the taxation area. He is on several boards and committees, including the Commonwealth Attorney-General's International Legal Services Advisory Council.
