Abstract

Challenges for injured workers in accessingand using knowledge Accessing and using knowledge is critical for injuredworkers to become informed about their health status,rights, and accountabilities in return-to-functioningand return-to-work. However, the information thatinjured workers need to: make decisions about theirinjury; understand their responsibilities for reportingand documentation; maneuver the claims manage-ment process; and interact with health care profes-sionals in the recovery and returnto work processes, is often newand complex.
