I am a retired Chief Operations Officer/Assistant Chief for a metropolitan fire department, with approximately 25 years of service. I have consulted with billion dollar corporations and various government agencies throughout North America and Europe. I currently serve as Associate Dean over the Emergency Services Program (Criminal Justice, Fire, Emergency Services, and Emergency Medical Services) at Utah Valley University. This position also includes oversight of the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy, Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), and the Institute of Emergency Services and Homeland Security at Utah Valley University. I have a Doctor of Education degree (Ed.D.) From Utah State University, a Master's Degree in Public Administration From Brigham Young University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and an Associate of Applied Science in Fire Science From Utah Valley Community College. I live in Draper, Utah with my wife of 35 years and I love spending time with my children and grandchildren, fly fishing and golf.
