Stone specializes in media strategy, media relations, campus communications and
major events. He came to Macalester after a 20-year career as a journalist at the
Minneapolis Star Tribune and WCCO-TV and as press secretary for the late Sen. Paul
Wellstone in Washington, D.C. He teaches journalism courses on writing for print and
writing for broadcast.
