Abstract
Find out how three academic libraries implemented innovative weeding projects where rules-based criteria was applied for identifying books that could be withdrawn from their collections. This session will discuss the parameters and execution of this data-driven deselection project, including how lists were generated and revised, project work flows, disciplinary differences, percentage of items actually removed, technical processes, speed of removal, and the disposition process as well as issues and challenges encountered along the way.
