Professor Iverson was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Health and Behavioural
Sciences at the University of Wollongong (UOW) in July 2001; in December 2006 he was
appointed to the position of Executive Dean of the Faculty; and in June 2009 he was
appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor (Health). He also functions as Executive Director of the
Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute. His research interests include clinical,
patient and delivery issues related to primary care medicine, and health-related
behaviour change strategies.
