Dr Diane Newton BA(MACQU),DipLib(UNSW),
GradDipEd(UNE),GradDipEnvStud(Macq.),MEd(SCU), PhD(SCU) 

Diane's research focuses on factors influencing effective implementation and use of
technologies in teaching and learning. Exploring how organisational culture impacts on
student and staff experiences of online learning underpinned her Masters and Doctoral
research. 

Diane has worked in the higher education sector for 20 years in a range of research,
teaching and project management positions. Diane is currently employed as a Lecturer
(Teaching & Curriculum) in the Division of Teaching & Learning. Currently, she is
the Division contact for the SCU School of Business and the School of Law and Justice. 

Previously, she was the Project Officer for the SCU iPad Trial and Project Manager for
the Converged Delivery Project. This two year University wide project, explored the
opportunities for delivery of innovative flexible learning alternatives to engage all
students in core learning experiences, regardless of location.
