About Dennis A. Gilbert

Dennis A. Gilbert holds a BA in French from Fairfield University and an MA in French from Boston College. His research interests focus on Jean-Paul Sartre; Simone de Beauvoir; Albert Camus; and the history, theory, and criticism of drama. He has written articles or conducted seminars on those subjects and is currently working on Sartre's esthetic of theater. He taught French and French literature in translation at UMass Boston from 2009 to 2020. See below for recent publications and professional activity.
