Professor Bechtel has directed the Corporate and Real Estate Clinic since 1997. She has over 20 years of experience in the areas of real estate law and community development as a staff attorney and then director of the Community Development Legal Assistance Center in New York and in private practice until 2002. She is one of New York City's foremost experts in low-income or limited equity co-ops.
