Hi, my name is Deana Greenfield and I am an Assistant Professor for NLU Library
& Learning Support. As an instruction librarian, I develop and teach credit courses
in digital information literacy and library research. I collaborate with faculty to
integrate information literacy and instructional technology concepts into curricula, and
act as a general and specialized research partner partner for students, faculty, and

I am an alum of University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where I received a MSLIS and
Certificate in Rare Books and Special Collections. I also completed a MA degree and PhD
coursework in English at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL with a concentration in
disapora studies. 

As an active member of the American Library Association (ALA) and the Association for
College and Research Libraries (ACRL), my interests include mentorship, critical
pedagogy, distance learning, and instructional design.
