About David Hammons

Since 2008 Dr. Hammons has worked within the Department of Kinesiology at Boise State University, his current role, as of 2013, is that of Assistant Clinical Faculty as the Clinical Education Coordinator/Interim Director of the Athletic Training Program. He received his Ph.D. in Education from Boise State University in 2012, a Masters of Education in 1998 from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Bachelor of Science from Boise State University specializing in Athletic Training in 1995. An active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and the US Olympic Committee’s Sports Medicine Society and the College Athletic Trainer’s Society, his research focus is on glenohumeral internal rotation deficit (GIRD), and his clinical interests encompass physical rehabilitation and evaluation of shoulder-patho-mechanics.
