LLB, BA(Hons), (Nottingham) Graduating from Nottingham University in 1967 with an Honours degree in Law, David taught for six years on the London University External LLB programme. Transferring to Scotland, he spent several years in private practice eventually becoming a Procurator Fiscal (Public Prosecutor), mainly in the Glasgow area. Also during his time in Scotland he served as Head of the Law School at Napier University, Edinburgh and was appointed as a Stipendiary Magistrate for Glasgow in 1986, a post which he occupied until his emigration to Australia in 1989. Following two years with a Brisbane litigation firm, specialising in Supreme Court Commercial Causes, David was appointed as Solicitor for Prosecutions for Queensland. After nine years in this post, David spent two more years as a solicitor in private practice, specialising in Legal Aid criminal cases. It was during this time that he taught part-time at Bond, before taking up a contract position with the university in May, 2002.
