A native of Mexico, David Enríquez Rosas's research interests are in the area
of maritime law and law and economics. He earned both a law degree and doctor in laws
degree from the Universidad Panamericana. He also earned two master's degrees in
maritime law, one from the Instituto Europeo de Estudios Marítimos, in Spain; another
from Southhampton University, in England; and finished his postdoctoral training in
international political economy from the London School of Economics. A partner at
Goodrich, Riquelme y Asociados, one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious law firms
in Mexico City, he teaches private international law and maritime law at the Instituto
Tecnológico Autónomo de México and serves as a research fellow at the Consejo Nacional de
Ciencia y Tecnología.
