Comments
This presentation compares and explains the roles of musical language and speech language. The musical example is taken from the second movement of Colours of Saratov, a french horn concerto. The work is analyzed through motifs, rhythmic and melodic augmentation patterns, sequences, phrases, elongation, compound intervals and other musical elements that parallel the English language.
