Dr. Daniel Harkness joined the faculty of the School of Social Work at Boise State
University in 1993. His B.A., M.S.W., and Ph.D. were all earned at The University of
Kansas. In addition to teaching at the University, Dr. Harkness is a Licensed Clinical
Social Worker and maintains a private practice for consultation and supervision in
clinical social work. 

Dr. Harkness pursues a wide variety of social work research issues including addictions
and codependency, client outcomes, clinical social work practice, educating and
credentialing social workers, evaluation and treatment of mental disorders, social work
supervision, and quantitative methods.
