Cindy Judd is an Associate University Librarian for Eastern Kentucky University
Libraries. She has been the Team Leader for the Learning Resources Center, the area of
the library that provides services and collections for the College of Education, for five
years. Before Cindy came to librarianship, she was a high school English teacher for six
years.

She is passionate about the students and faculty that she serves, especially because of
the field they are in. Cindy feels that as an education librarian she plays an important
role in the success of the students she serves. Her responsibilities include managing an
amazing team of ladies and overseeing a large and diverse collection of resources. It is
when she works with students, staff, and faculty to find the best resources for their
research needs that she is most energized.

Cindy enjoys dabbling in technology and learning how those tools can be used in an
educational setting. She is especially interested in the uses of social media, like
Twitter, and visual media, like Flickr, in a classroom setting. She is active in national
committees as well as a regular speaker at the state library conferences. When Cindy is
not at work, you can probably find her at home watching college football or basketball
with her husband. She can also be frequently seen at her twin daughters’ soccer games and
her son’s football games.
