USU’s Alternative Teacher Preparation Programs--One Answer to Utah’s Teacher Shortage

The Alternative Teacher Preparation program is a collaborative effort among a university, school districts and the USOE to help individuals obtain special education credentials through a non-traditional approach. It is part of an overall state strategy to recruit and retain qualified special education teachers.
