Chris Morgan BA, MDEd, PhD 

Chris Morgan is a Lecturer and Curriculum Developer with the Centre for Teaching &
Learning at Southern Cross University. He has a Masters degree in Open and Distance
Learning from Deakin University and a PhD that explores the teaching and assessment of
creativity in the creative arts. 

Chris has a established a research and publication record in the field of student
assessment over the past 15 years. He was the lead author of two internationally
published books, and numerous refereed book chapters and articles for international
publications. Chris has also undertaken various consultancies in the private sector in
relation to assessment and curriculum issues. He also teaches the unit 'Assessment
and Learning' in SCU's Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice. Chris's
second focal point for research is flexible learning. He has researched and written a
range of papers on innovations in distance and converged learning, reflecting SCU's
key position as a provider of flexible learning opportunities for students in regional
