Chris Childs is an Education & Outreach Librarian at the University of Iowa’s Hardin Library for the Health Sciences. He is the library’s liaison to the College of Public Health, the Department of Health & Human Physiology. He is also responsible for all state wide community outreach projects for the library and travels across the state providing training on free clinical, evidence based medicine and patient information resources to medical professional, public librarians and the general public. Chris has a BA in philosophy from Purdue University and a MS in library sciences from the University of North Texas. He has worked at the University of Iowa since 2008 was previously the assistant director of the Texas Tech University’s Health Sciences Center in the Permian Basin. Chris is an active member of the Medical Library Association.
