Radical Teacher is a journal that flipped from closed to open access. Emily Drabinski discusses her role as a librarian and member of the editorial board who initiated this change.
Journal of Critical Thought and Praxis is a student-run journal that is social justice and open access oriented from its inception. Harrison Inefuku discusses how he supports this journal as a library publisher.
The demographics of publishing reflect the demographics of academia and librarianship and this in turn impacts how faculty are published, promoted, and how research is read and made available. Charlotte Roh addresses what librarians can do to be allies. Her section of the presentation is available CC-BY.
