Charles Salzberg is a Professor of Special Educaion and Psychology in the College of Education and Human Services. He came to Utah State University in January of 1982 from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University where he served as Chair of the Special Education Department. He was the Head of the Special Education Department at Utah State from 1992 to 2005. Dr. Salzberg has been President of the Higher Education Consortium for Special Education, an officer in several other national organizations, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the IRIS Project and The Center on Personnel Studies in Special Education. He is also the current President of the Teacher Education Division of the Council for Exceptional Children. Dr. Salzberg's interests include special education, teacher preparation, applied behavior analysis in education, education policy, students with disabilities in higher education, distance education, and the application of technology in instruction and teacher education.
