A New Paradigm for the Study of Deception Detection at Portals
Abstract
We report the results of a new paradigm to study deception detection in portal settings. Portals present unique challenges to gatekeepers in that those seeking access are likely to lie about intention to act rather than about concealing previous acts. Successful deception detection was achieved in this new paradigm.
