Associate Professor Cathy Ferrand Bullock joined Utah State's Journalism and
Communication faculty in 2001 after earning her doctorate from the University of
Washington. She teaches the JCOM Department's freshman-level introductory course and
media writing courses, drawing on her earlier career in magazine writing, editing, and
photography. Her primary areas of research are media coverage of domestic violence and
media coverage of historic civil rights events. For fun, she directs the Westminster Bell
Choir and rings English handbell solos.
