About Carl Siebert

Dr. Carl Siebert joined Boise State University in 2015, is the Director of the Program Evaluation And Research Lab (PEARL), and is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Foundational Studies. He received his Ph.D. in Measurement and Statistics and a M.S. in Biostatistics from Florida State University, a M.B.A. from Duke University, and a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Mathematics from California State University at Fullerton. Dr. Siebert’s research interests include , data modeling, scale development, nonparametric analysis in statistics and psychometrics, and instrument development with item performance especially when dealing with small samples. His other interests are in the educational workforce, evaluation methods and strategies, student retention, and in online education best practices.
