Professor Centeno comes to Villanova from White and Williams, LLP, where she was a
Senior Litigation Associate in the Health Care Practice Group. During her thirteen years
at the firm, Prof. Centeno had considerable trial and appellate experience representing
physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals in medical malpractice and
premise liability actions. In addition, she served as an Arbitrator with the Court of
Common Pleas, Philadelphia County. She has also been involved in pro bono legal work for
the Support Center for Child Advocates and Volunteers for the Indigent (VIP) Program and
continues to provide pro bono legal work for the Support Center for Child Advocates.
Professor Centeno earned her B.A. summa cum laude in History from Muhlenberg College and
her J.D. cum laude from Boston College Law School, where she was Solicitations Editor for
the Boston College Third World Law Journal. Professor Centeno will teach Legal Analysis,
Writing, & Oral Advocacy I and II.
