CHRISTINE ROTHMAYR ALLISON is associate professor of political science at the
Université de Montréal, QC, Canada. Her field of interest is comparative public policy,
where she studies policies in the field of biotechnology, biomedicine and higher
education. Her recent research looks at how courts contribute to shape biotechnology
policies in Europe and North-America. Her work has been published in the European Journal
of Political Research, Comparative Political Studies, and West European Politics among
others. Before joining the Université de Montréal, she taught at the University of
Geneva, Switzerland. She received her PhD from the University of Zurich, Switzerland in
1999.
