Dr. Mennecke's research has appeared in numerous publications, including Management Information Systems Quarterly, the Journal of Informatics Education and Research, the Journal of Database Management, the Journal of Management Information Systems, and the International Journal of Human Computer Studies. Additionally he has presented his research at numerous conferences including the Americas Conference on Information Systems, the Decision Sciences Institute, and the International Conference on Information Systems. Dr. Mennecke has also been an invited speaker at such events as the 1995 Harvard Business School Colloquium on multimedia technologies, at the Executive Session of the ESRI users Conference, the Executive Education Program at the University of Tennessee Management Development Center, and the Labor Market Information Training Institute. In addition, he developed a course designed to equip Labor Market analysts with advanced skills related to applying geographic information technologies to analysis and decision-making. Dr. Mennecke was recently awarded a University research grant to study the role of desktop videoconferencing and training methodology on learning and performance. His service to the University and college includes MIS Club Faculty Advisor, Chair of the MIS Scholarship Committee, co-coordinator of the Business Applications for Virtual Reality Environments Task Force, Faculty Search committee member, and Electronic Learning Task Force member. Dr. Mennecke's professional affiliations include The Association for Information Systems, The Decision Science Institute and The GeoBusiness Association. He also serves on the editorial boards for the Journal of Geographic Information and Decision Analysis and the journal Small Group Research.
