About Brian M McCall

After 9 years in private practice with the international law firm Dechert LLP, Professor McCall joined the faculty of the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2006. As a practicing lawyer, he represented a variety of companies and banks in international merger and acquisition and corporate finance transactions. Seven years were spent in the firm's London office as an Associate and Partner. Professor McCall teaches classes in contracts, business and commercial law, and Jurisprudence. In 2012 he was awarded tenure and promoted to full professor and in 2013 he was selected to hold the endowed Orpha and Maurice Merrill Professorship in Law. In 2014 he was named Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. He publishes in the field of commercial and business law with an emphasis on the jurisprudence and philosophy of economic legal regulation. His scholarly research is rooted in a natural law jurisprudence.
