About Brian W. Stone

Dr. Brian Stone received his Ph.D. in Psychology, focusing on Behavioral and Brain Sciences, from the University of Georgia in 2013. Dr. Stone is a cognitive psychologist specializing in perception and action. His research investigates how the brain utilizes information from multiple senses to represent and track the body and external objects, and how it uses this information to organize action within peripersonal space. Dr. Stone’s research interests include multi-sensory integration, perception and action, senses of ownership, embodiment, agency, and tool use. Several of Dr. Stone's publications and presentations include student collaborators.
