bepress Journals in 2008 – Impact and Growth

Two bepress journals received their first impact factor in 2008, each with a stellar first showing.

SAGMB is now the #5 ranked statistics journal in ISI Statistical Applications in Genetics and Molecular Biology (SAGMB) received an outstanding first impact factor in the 2007 Journal Citation Reports from Thomson/ISI. The journal’s impact factor is 2.167. It ranks #5 of all 91 statistics journal in the ISI Science Citation Index. In its first year, SAGMB joins such established titles as Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, and Journal of the Royal Statistics Society B, in the top five. SAGMB also ranks 155th out of 263 biochemistry & molecular biology journals, a category that includes some of the most heavily cited titles in science research, such as Cell and PLoS Biology.

Another bepress journal, International Journal of Chemical Reactor Engineering (IJCRE), also received its first impact factor with the 2007 Journal Citation Reports. The journal’s impact factor is 0.75, and it ranks 58th out of the 114 chemical engineering journals in the Science Citation Index. IJCRE remains the only journal in its field that focuses on chemical reactor engineering.

Studies in Nonlinear Dynamics & Econometrics (SNDE) now has an impact factor of 0.593, and ranks #104 out of 191 economics journals. SNDE's impact and rank has grown steadily over the past years: the 2007 impact factor represents a 42% increase over its 2005 impact factor of 0.418.
