About Bronwyn Cross-Denny

Bronwyn Cross-Denny, Ph.D., LCSW is an Associate Professor of Health Science at Sacred Heart University. She has been a full-time faculty member at Sacred Heart University since 2010. She boasts extensive clinical social work practice experience with youth and families of diverse and vulnerable populations and she has vast curriculum development experience in social work, health science, and global programming. Dr. Cross-Denny was the founding director of the Master of Social Work program at Sacred Heart University and was responsible for the development and initial accreditation with integrated social work practice as the model for the curriculum. Throughout her academic tenure she has fostered interdisciplinary collaborations both within and outside of social work, locally and abroad. Her teaching and scholarship expertise include diversity, social justice, social determinants of health, and global health and engagement. Dr. Cross-Denny has served in a number of leadership roles for the Council on Social Work Education, and serves on the educational sub-committee for the Consortium of Universities for Global Health.
