Abstract

The history of hadronic parity violation is reviewed, from its beginning in 1957 to the present time. The current state of the subject is shown to be confused and a program to resolve this dilemma, including theoretical calculations using effective theoretic methods together with new low energy experiments in low A systems, is proposed.
