Barrie Hansen is a Juris Doctor (Honours) graduate of Bond University Law School in Australia. The author is currently enrolled in an LLM program with focus on Energy and Resource law. Professor John Farrar, renowned Corporate Governance author and lecturer, has agreed to supervise the author's PhD/SJD on the "Shadow Banking System", a term first employed in 2007 by Bill Gross, the Founder of PIMCO. Research is currently underway. The author does significant pro bono work for aboriginal groups in Australia, and has been a leading advocate of self-determination as a key 'erga omnes' human rights principle.
