Since joining ACER India in 2011, Ashtamurthy has managed prominent assessment and evaluation projects across South Asia.
He has also been involved as a technical expert in test development of a variety of assessment programmes across various regions from South and South East Asia to the Middle East. In addition, Ashtamurthy has delivered capacity building programmes internationally in various countries including Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Uganda and Maldives.
He has also co-authored a report on the transition to English Medium Instruction from the local language in a South Asian country and a thematic report by NEQMAP on the flexible strategies for ensuring quality learning outcomes in Education in Emergencies.
Prior to joining ACER India, Ashtamurthy has worked for several years in developing quality tools for language assessment in various languages. He developed the language assessment tool for the national assessment in Bhutan. He worked at Educational Initiatives Pvt. Ltd. Services, where he was involved in projects related to language assessments.
