Abstract
In the fall of 2013 Sturgis Library began investigating new collection development methods for serving the needs of students and faculty at Kennesaw State University (KSU), with the intent to enhance both collection and service excellence. One area targeted for improvement beginning in FY2013- 2014 was interlibrary loan service. With over 10,000 borrowing requests in FY 2011 -2012, Library Administration engaged the newly hired Collection Development Librarian and the ILL Paraprofessional to begin investigating and implementing a robust electronic book DDA (Demand Driven Acquisitions) program in conjunction with a PDA (Patron Driven Acquisitions) program. This presentation will highlight the process recently implemented by KSU, estimated savings, and long-term service and collection goals.
