My name is Mrs. Ashley Braun Harper and I have been teaching Accounting courses for over 10 years now and I simply love teaching! I earned my Masters of Accountancy from Louisiana State University in 2001 and my Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1999. I passed the CPA Exam on the first attempt and received my license in 2004 and I am an active CPA in the State of Louisiana. I am currently pursuing my PhD from NorthCentral University in Accounting as well. My work experience includes an Accountant position for a local accounting firm in Ponchatoula for 7 years. I began my work there in high school doing basic bookkeeping. I learned how to prepare bank reconciliations, financial statements, payroll taxes, sales taxes, and income taxes. I then worked for Arthur Andersen in New Orleans as a Tax Accountant for a Tax Season. I was a Controller for a local lumberyard and a Credit Analyst for a local bank. I have a broad area of experience that I hope to share. My hobbies include traveling with my husband, running/walking, karaoke, and anything related to Disney. I worked at Disneyworld for a summer while in college and it was a blast. On a personal note, I am married to my husband Brian of 9 years and we have a 4 year old little girl named Elise Nicole and a 18 month old little girl Bailey Robin who are the ultimate successes of my life!
