Abstract
I have prepared this phenomenological study of "Departure from Jerusalem," with Judaism and early Christianity in mind, in recognition of the sincere concern and academic work in Judaica so impressively displayed by my esteemed friend, Dr. Reinhold Mayer, upon reaching the age of three scores. I do not forget his dedication to the study and the translation of the Talmudic texts for his successful anthology in German and hold in warm regard the memory of this period of the past. He remained a true guide to introduce the treasures of Jacob and to effect a positive link to Israel on the German campus.
